this is the story of a rich family's black sheep who falls in love with a sweet girl, who happens to be a patient in a mental asylum. Nick Keller comes from a wealthy family, but has become a drop-out. He needs a job badly and finds one as a caretaker in an asylum. On his first day, he saves the life of a patient, a young girl, who is about to commit suicide. She follows him out of the asylum when he is sacked by the asylum's harsh director. Leila has been incarcerated by her mother for 19 years, and suffers extreme panic attacks when touched.
