The premise is that the odds are twenty five to one that a woman will find a partner. And to prove it, one mildly attractive male will have a choice of twenty five young women who ought to know better. Through an audience-accompanied series of dates he gets to narrow the choice down to The One; who will presumably proceed to fall in love with him and together they will discover the joys of happy ever after-dom?
